Wine Moms But Angry | Black Rifle Coffee Company

On this episode, Ren and Ginger wonder aloud if the best part of waking up is fascism in your cup.

Black Rifle Coffee Company is supposed to sell coffee, but what they really sell is “owning the libs” to guys whose entire personality is “GUNS!” Unfortunately, when you package your product in American flags and assault weapons in order to cater to military LARPers and right-wingers, the other circle in this already terrible Venn Diagram includes mass shooters and Nazis. Triggered, yet? Featuring Matt Gaetz federal sex trafficking takes, whether doing cocaine is too gay, and yet another term Ginger has to explain to her dad.

Self Care Plan

So Death Wish Coffee, which prides itself on being the World’s Strongest Coffee and had my husband vibrating, not only has sponsored New York Comic Con and supported charities like the special Olympics, they aren’t in any way fascist. On their blog, they have a whole article about re-using coffee grounds for self care and other purposes. Here are some of the highlights!

  1. DIY Coffee Hair Mask. Caffeine in coffee stimulates hair follicles, which can help with thickening and strengthening your hair. This recipe, found here, will leave your hair healthier, smoother, and shinier.
  2. In the Garden. Used coffee grounds can be used as insect repellents when they’re dry. Sprinkle coffee grounds around places where there are ants, slugs, or snails or burn coffee grounds to keep those pesky bugs away when you’re trying to enjoy your backyard.
  3. In the kitchen. You can use coffee grounds in tons of different recipes. Add them to marinades and sauces to give your chicken or steak a nice flavor. I like using coffee in my chili recipes and chocolate cake. Also, When you’re cooking with garlic or onions, rub your hands with coffee grounds — it’ll take those smells right off your hands.
